These awards recognise the work of those in the disaster management sector who actively champion change and demonstrate excellence.
The award categories for 2022 are:

- Excellence in Disaster Management – Research

Excellence in Disaster Management - Research
- Dr Kimberley Reis, Griffith University

Due to the recent weather and flooding events, the Inspector-General was unable to present the awards to the winners in person before International Women’s Day. The Inspector-General will personally present the awards to the recipients as soon as a suitable time can be arranged.
