The 2025 IGEM International Women’s Day (IWD) Awards promote equality and diversity in the disaster management sector. Open to practitioners, researchers, and volunteers, the awards recognise those who champion change and demonstrate excellence.

Individuals who have had a significant impact in changing workplace culture and mindset to empower women and men to advance gender equality

Showed a tangible commitment to improving the delivery of disaster management practices
Introduced innovative or inclusive practices which contributed toward continuous improvement for the community and the sector
Demonstrated disaster management excellence
Excellence in Disaster Management – Research
Influenced the development of a learning culture
Championed research and engagement within the sector
Showed a tangible commitment to improving the delivery of disaster management practices
Complete the nomination form. Make sure to submit your nomination by the deadline: Friday 21 February 2025.
Confirmation: After submitting the nomination, you will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of the nomination.
Review process: All nominations will be reviewed by the Executive Leadership Team. The review process will assess the nominations based on the criteria.
